Authorities are searching for suspects believed to be connected to a series of catalytic converter thefts across Hudson County after a police pursuit early Wednesday morning, officials said.
According to preliminary reports, at around 2:30 a.m., Hoboken Police officers spotted a dark-colored Acura suspected of involvement in the thefts.
When officers attempted to pull the vehicle over, the driver sped away and crossed into Jersey City.
Police briefly pursued the vehicle but eventually lost sight of it.
Investigators were, however, able to obtain a license plate number reportedly reading “C79-WCX.”
The suspects were last seen in Hoboken after fleeing from police and remain at large.
No additional details were immediately available as the investigation remains active.
