Passaic Police are on the search for a suspect wanted for a shooting that occurred on a street in Passaic Sunday night.
Police were called to the vicinity of 198 Harrison Street after gunfire rang out just before 9 p.m.
Units arrived and set up a crime scene after they found multiple shell casings at that location according to police. Officers searching the area did not locate any gunshot victims.
Police say just under a half dozen shell casings were located after the suspect fired the gun at an unknown target.
The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
