Police in Newark seek the public’s help in identifying a man wanted for questioning in an assault that occurred on Saturday, November 30th.
Police say at approximately 9:50 p.m., a male inside Mayfair Liquors, located at 1014 South Orange Avenue, attempted to leave the store with a bottle of liquor without paying for it.
According to police, the suspect struck an employee with a closed fist once they were both outside.
Detectives investigating this incident obtained surveillance footage of the male suspect and seek the public’s help in quickly identifying him as part of this investigation.
