Union City law enforcement officers are actively searching for a suspect involved in a late-night robbery that occurred on Wednesday.
Police were swiftly summoned to the scene following reports of an armed robbery in progress at 1015 New York Avenue at around 10 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers found the victim inside the store visibly shaken.
The suspect, whose identity remains unknown, had successfully stolen an undisclosed amount of cash during the heist.
Authorities believe the perpetrator was dressed in dark clothing, wore gloves, and concealed their identity with a mask.
Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported during the incident.
The investigation is ongoing as Union City Police intensify efforts to identify and locate the suspect responsible for this robbery.
