Police in Newark are on the search for a prisoner who reportedly escaped from a hospital in Newark early this morning.
The suspect has been identified as a light skinned black male with gold teeth who was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt and black sweatpants when he disappeared from the University Hospital on Bergen Street at around 6:30 a.m.
The Essex County Sheriff's Department are assisting in the search.
We are hoping to have an image of the prisoner as soon as one becomes available.
