Police In Newark are on the search for a robbery suspect who robbed a person on a North Ward Street overnight.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the vicinity of 357 Summer Avenue to investigate a robbery in progress that occurred at that location.
Upon their arrival, they found the victim who reported being robbed by a male suspect who took personal items then fled the scene in a burgundy Jeep Cherokee according to reports.
The victim did not report physical injuries.
The incident is under investigation.
