Police Search for Missing Newark Senior Man

Newark Police seeks the public’s help in locating Mr. Willie Allen, 82, of Newark, reported missing today, August 24. 

According to a statement released by Newark Police, Mr. Allen, who a neighbor reports as suffering from dementia or Alzheimer’s, was last seen at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at Columbia Avenue near Plymouth Street.

The neighbor said Willie entered his vehicle, a 2021 gray Honda CRV wagon with NJ plate numbers HX5-544.

While detectives are actively searching for Mr. Allen, we seek the public’s help in quickly locating him.

Willie is described as 5’10” tall and 180 pounds, with a bald head and brown eyes.

Mr. Allen also uses a prosthetic right leg due to a previous amputation. He was wearing a black shirt with burgundy stripes, black jeans, beige shoes, and a dark-colored baseball cap.
