Newark authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man accused of stealing a package containing essential items, including food and medication.
According to information released by Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., the theft occurred on Friday, February 27, 2026, in the area of Mt. Prospect Avenue near Park Avenue.
Police say the victim reported that a package delivered to the residence was taken at approximately 2:36 p.m.
Investigators indicated that the parcel contained food and medicine provided through United Healthcare, making the incident especially concerning due to the nature of its contents.
Officials are urging anyone who may recognize the suspect or have information related to this incident to come forward.
