Police Search for Man Accused of Starting Elizabeth Parking Lot Fire

Authorities have released surveillance video of a man suspected of starting a fire at an Elizabeth parking lot.

According to police, on May 18, at approximately 10:22 p.m., the suspect in the video set a fire near the pay stations inside the Elizabeth Parking Authority garage located at Jefferson Avenue and Dickinson Street.

The suspect left the garage on foot, walking up the alleyway to Broad Street.

The suspect is described as a thin black male, last seen wearing blue jeans, orange shirt, gray/white New Balance shoes and a blue/white/red hat.

This same suspect may also be the suspect in several other arsons that have occurred in the area, police added.
