Police Search for Franklin Township Bank Robbery Suspect

FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP, N.J. – Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson, Chief of County Detectives John W. Fodor, and Franklin Township Chief of Police Richard Grammar announced an investigation into a bank robbery that occurred at the Financial Resources Federal Credit Union bank located on Easton Avenue in Franklin Township, New Jersey.

Prosecutor Robertson stated that today, at approximately 9:33 a.m., Franklin Township Police Department received a call that a robbery had occurred at the Financial Resources Federal Credit Union located on Easton Avenue in the Township of Franklin.

It was reported that a male entered the bank demanding money from the bank teller. The bank teller ultimately turned over cash to the male based on his demands and he subsequently fled the store on foot.

Franklin Township Police Department officers responded to the scene and canvassed the area in search of the suspect. Detectives from the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and Crime Scene Unit, along with detectives from the Franklin Township Police Department detective bureau responded to the scene to conduct an investigation. Investigators are releasing two surveillance photos of the suspect in an attempt to generate leads.
