NEWARK NJ: A hit and run crash that happened in the area of Bloomfield Avenue and 3rd Avenue has police looking for a burgundy pickup truck (with an open back) that is occupied by two females who sped away from the scene after crashing into a vehicle at that location.
The wanted vehicle struck an unmarked Essex County Sheriff Department vehicle at around 6:40 p.m. according to authorities.
The officer did not suffer any injuries.
The suspect's vehicle has possible front end damage.
