Police in Plainfield issued a be on the lookout for the driver of a vehicle involved in a crash where they left the scene.
According to preliminary reports, the early morning crash happened in the vicinity of East 2nd Street at Johnston Avenue at around 1:15 a.m. sending police to the scene where they arrived to find one damaged vehicle at that location.
Police say a black or dark-colored SUV sped away from the scene immediately after the crash.
There were no severe injuries reported.
