A late night theft of a vehicle in Newark's South Ward has police on the search for the vehicle and the suspect who took it.
According to reports, the unidentified suspect stole a red Ford Taurus with a reported NJ license plate number "B47-HMH" just before 10 p.m. in the 100 block of Leslie Street.
The car was last observed heading westbound on Leslie Street.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
