Police Release Sketch of Bike Riding Man Wanted for String of Armed Robberies in Essex County

Authorities is Essex County have released a sketch of man wanted for a string of armed robberies in Newark, Bloomfield, Maplewood and Belleville in hopes that someone recognizes him.

The suspect is described as a black male in his 20's, approximately 5'7 tall, weighs between 170-180lbs, has brown eyes and black hair.

He was last seen on a black and silver bike, wearing a black wool coat.

Cops say the armed robberies occurred between Nov. 6 and the latest being Dec. 13.

Nov. 6 - 675 5th Street, Newark (8:30 p.m.)

Nov. 17 - 196 N. 15th Street Bloomfield, NJ (11:20 p.m.)

Dec. 8 - N. 15th Street & Beardsley Ave., Bloomfield, NJ (11:19 p.m.)

Dec. 9 - 416 N. 13th Street, Newark, NJ (10 p.m.)

Dec. 10 - 372 Chapman Street, Newark, NJ (9:15 p.m.)

Dec. 10 - 152 Norman Road, Newark, NJ (10:30 p.m.)

Dec. 12 - 66 Eugene Place, Belleville, NJ (10:45 p.m.)

Dec. 13 - 19 Peachtree Rd., Maplewood, NJ (9:30 p.m.)
