Police in Newark has recovered one of two vehicles that were reportedly carjacked from a location in the city's North Ward on Friday morning.
According to preliminary reports, police were called to the vicinity of a public housing complex located in the 60's block of Broad Street to investigate reports of a carjacking that occurred at that location before 1:20 a.m.
Upon arrival at the scene, police were informed that three black male suspects who were armed with guns took two Mercedes Benz vehicles according to reports.
Police say they found the 2010 GL 450 that was taken from the location but there were no reports of the second Mercedes Benz being located.
There were no injuries reported.
