Police Officer, Civilian Injured in Freehold Township Crash

Monmouth County authorities are investigating a crash that sent a police officer to the hospital in Freehold Township.

According to a statement released by police, at approximately 2:22 p.m., a motor vehicle vs. a motorcycle collision occurred at the intersection of County Route 537, and Kozloski Road.

Police say the driver of the motor vehicle was a Freehold Township police officer who was on duty at the time of the crash.

Both drivers were taken to Jersey Shore Medical Unversity Center and treated for their injuries according to authorities.

The crash remains under investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, the Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART) and Freehold Township Police Department.
