Police Nab Woman Who Robbed Man of Sneakers in Newark

A woman who was wanted for a robbery that occurred in Newark's South Ward in mid November had police arrest the woman on Thursday.

According to Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose, the Fugitive Apprehension Team arrested **Caroline Ford-Owens, 22, of Newark** for a robbery that occurred on Nov. 13th, 2016.

According to authorities, at approximately 10 p.m., a 24-year old male victim agreed to meet with a **Ford-Owens** at a residence in the area of Seymour and Avon avenues to sell her a pair of sneakers.

The suspect arrived with a male who threatened to do bodily harm to the victim and stole the sneakers.

After obtaining an arrest warrant, detectives located **Ford-Owens** and arrested her yesterday without incident and is charged with robbery and conspiracy.

Police said the male suspect remains at large.
