Morris County authorities and the NJ Attorney General's office are investigating a shooting that involved a police officer in Lake Hopatcong n overnight.
The incident happened in the 70's block of Brady Road before 11:45 p.m. where a police officer opened fire on a man at that location.
EMS transported the man (who is reported to be in his late 20's early 30's ) to an area hospital where the extent of his injuries could not immediately be confirmed.
Authorities have not released what prompted the shooting as of 4 a.m. this morning.
Police set up a crime scene where they focused their attentions on a house on the block.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
