Passaic County officials announce that on Thursday, October 15, at approximately 9:01 p.m., police officers responded to the area of 187 Lawrence Street in the City of Paterson in response to a report of a
shooting.
Upon their arrival, the officers discovered evidence of the shooting at the crime scene, and moments later they were notified that a victim had just arrived at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center by way of a private vehicle.
According to police, the victim, 26-year-old Twyshon Depew, from
Paterson had suffered a gunshot wound and was admitted for emergency treatment. A short time later, Mr. Depew succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced deceased at approximately 11:01 p.m.
This investigation is active and ongoing. More information will be released when it becomes available.
