Police Investigating Two-Vehicle Crash in Brick

The Brick Township Police Department is investigating a serious car accident that occurred on Sunday.

According to police, officers responded to the area of 714 Herbertsville Road at approximately 7:50 p.m. on a report of a car crash involving two vehicles with multiple injuries.

The preliminary investigation indicates that a Red Buick Envision - driven by Lisa DeFeo-Ester, 38, of Somerset - turned left from the parking lot of 714 Herbertsville Road in front of a Black Toyota Camry - driven by Kasandra Diaz-Torres, 22, of Howell - who was traveling south on Herbertsville Road

Police determined that the Black Toyota Camry had the right of way.

DeFeo-Ester, Diaz-Torres as well as the two passengers in the Black Toyota Camry were transported to Jersey Shore University Hospital.

The roadway was closed and traffic was detoured for approximately 2 hours during the investigation.

This accident is currently under investigation by Ptl. David Thergesen #249.
