Police Investigating Shots Fired Incident in Paterson

Passaic County officials announced that at approximately 1:06 a.m. on Tuesday, members of the Paterson Police Department were dispatched to the area of Park Avenue and East 18th Street in Paterson, on a report of shots fired.

According to police, upon arrival responding officers discovered a potential crime scene, but no victim was located.

Police report that a short time later members of the Paterson Police Department were advised that a 25-year-old male Paterson resident arrived at Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson, seeking treatment of a non-fatal gunshot wound.

The investigation remains active and ongoing. More information will be released once it becomes available.
