Police Investigating Multi-Vehicle Crash That Seriously Injures Two in Clifton

Passaic County officials announce that investigators are seeking the assistance of the public regarding any witnesses to a crash that occurred at approximately 10:07 a.m., on Tuesday, August 25.

According to police, officers responded to the area of Route 3 Westbound and Allwood Road, in the City of Clifton on a report of a multi-vehicle crash.

A 2005 Mack Conventional Cab dump truck, being operated by Chad Hines, 40 of Wantage, struck a 2019 Honda Civic driven by a twenty-five-year-old female Clifton resident who along with a minor passenger were transported to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center.

After the initial collision, the Mack dump truck struck a 2013 Subaru Outback, being operated by a fifty-four-year-old male Nutley, resident. The Honda Civic struck a 2020 Chevrolet Traverse, being operated by a thirty-five-year-old male Nutley, resident. No other parties were injured.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
