Police Investigating Hoboken Hit-and-Run That Seriously Injured 24-Year-Old Cyclist

Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez has announced that the Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit is investigating a hit-and-run incident in which a 24-year-old cyclist was struck on Garden Street and First Street in Hoboken just before 1 a.m. Monday morning.

According to officials, members of the Hoboken Police Department responded to the area, at approximately 12:50 a.m. on September 28, on reports of a pedestrian struck.

Police report that the victim, a New Hampshire man, was struck while riding a bicycle on Garden Street with two friends. As a result of his injuries, the victim was transported to the Jersey City Medical Center for treatment.

According to police, both the driver and the vehicle that struck the victim have been identified and the investigation is ongoing.

According to the initial investigation, the driver stopped but then left the scene.

The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit and Hoboken Police Department are actively investigating this incident.
