Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that took place Sunday evening near Wall Street and Pine Street in Mount Holly Township.
According to information released by the Mount Holly Township Police Department and the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office, officers were called to Mill Dam Park at approximately 5:45 p.m., where they discovered an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victim was pronounced dead shortly after.
At this time, no arrests have been made. Officials said an autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow by the Burlington County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the exact cause of death.
Investigators are urging anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the shooting to come forward with information.
