Early this morning, at around 6 a.m. Newark police rushed to the scene at Irvine Turner Boulevard and Clinton Avenue in response to a collision involving an ambulance and a private vehicle.
The collision left a University Hospital EMS unit and a red car significantly damaged, though fortunately, there were no severe injuries reported.
The female driver of the private vehicle remained at the scene, cooperating with authorities.
As of now, the incident is under investigation, and details surrounding the cause of the crash remain scant.
Authorities are diligently working to piece together what transpired during the early hours of this Saturday morning.
