There were no reports of weapons shown in a carjacking incident that occurred overnight in Newark.
According to reports, police were called to the vicinity of Gould Avenue and South 13th Street to take a report of a possible carjacking that happened before 9:30 p.m.
Upon officer's arrival, the victim informed that before their arrival, a male suspect approached at took a red 2008 Mazda CX-7 then fled the scene.
The vehicle has a reported Nj license plate number "X85-ECJ"
There were no physical injuries reported, and the incident remains under investigation.
