Elizabeth Police are investigating a stabbing that left a man injured Tuesday afternoon.
According to preliminary information, officers were called to the area of Morris Avenue and Broad Street shortly before 4 p.m. after receiving reports of an injured person.
Upon arrival, police found an adult male suffering from a stab wound. EMS and advanced life support units were dispatched to assist the victim.
Several witnesses reported that the victim had been involved in a dispute with another person before the confrontation escalated and the victim was injured.
Police established a crime scene in the area while detectives began investigating the incident.
The victim's condition and the circumstances surrounding the stabbing have not been confirmed.
The incident remains under an active and ongoing investigation.
