Police are investigating an overnight shooting that that occurred near a McDonald's in Newark's North Ward.
Reports of shots fired that rang out in the 600 block of Broadway had several police units to the McDonalds restaurant where a search of the area had no victims located.
Cops searched the area for a crime scene but it is not immediately clear if any shell casings were ever located.
The investigation is active and ongoing authorities said.
