Police in Newark are investgiating a shots-fired incident that occurred on a street in the city on Tuesday night.
According to police, gunfire rang out in the 400 block of South 7th Street at approximately 7:20 p.m., where officers arrived at the scene to investigate.
Several police units canvassed the area and found shell casings, but there were no injuries immediately reported.
Police believe that the suspect arrived in a vehicle and began to fire shots at individuals in the area.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
