Police Investigate Pedestrian Struck by NJ Transit Train in New Brunswick

New Jersey Transit Police are currently investigating an incident involving a pedestrian who was struck by one of their trains Thursday night.

AdThe incident occurred at approximately 10:29 p.m. at the New Brunswick station.

NJ Transit official said the train involved was Northeast Corridor train 3889, which had departed from New York Penn Station at 9:35 p.m. and was en route to Trenton with an expected arrival time of 11:06 p.m.

Unfortunately, it collided with an adult male pedestrian at the New Brunswick Station.

The pedestrian sustained serious injuries in the incident and was promptly transported to a local hospital for medical attention.

Officials said no injuries were reported among the passengers or crew on board the train. Passengers on the affected train were accommodated by the following train.

New Jersey Transit police are leading the ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding this unfortunate incident.
