Police Investigate Overnight Hit-and-Run at Busy Harrison Intersection

Police in Harrison are searching for a driver who struck a pedestrian overnight and fled the scene in the center of town.

 

The incident occurred around 12:35 a.m. Thursday at the intersection of Frank E. Rodgers Boulevard and Harrison Avenue. 

According to preliminary information, responding EMS crews arrived and found a victim suffering from injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

Reports said the pedestrian was attempting to cross the intersection when a driver reportedly sped through, struck the individual, and then fled the area.
 

The vehicle was last seen heading toward Kearny, officials said.

 

No additional details were immediately available. The incident remains under active investigation.
