Authorities closed a portion of NJ-7 on Friday morning after a crash left a motorcyclist seriously injured, officials said.
The collision happened just before 11 a.m. near Chestnut Street and Belleville Turnpike.
Responding officers from Kearny and North Arlington Police found the rider suffering from a serious leg injury after a vehicle struck the motorcycle at the intersection.

The unidentified motorcyclist was rushed to University Hospital in Newark, where he is reported to be in serious but stable condition.
Police closed NJ-7 between Beech Street and Devon Street for several hours while they investigated the crash.
No other injuries were reported, and the incident remains under investigation.
