Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella has announced that the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit and the Lodi Police Department are investigating a homicide that occurred at 242 Westervelt Place in Lodi on Thursday, May 26.
According to Prosecutor Musella, at approximately 9:32 p.m., the Lodi Police Department received a 911 call reporting a stabbing at that address.
Prosecutor Musella said that upon their arrival, officers discovered a 44-year-old female victim with stab wounds and a 49-year-old male suspect.
The victim was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center, where she was pronounced deceased.
The suspect was arrested, and charges are pending.
