An early-morning shooting investigation is underway in Passaic after police responded to reports of gunfire, according to information released by the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
Officials said that around 1:40 a.m. on August 3, Passaic police officers were dispatched to the area of Sherman Street and Lexington Avenue following a report of shots fired.
Upon arrival, officers located a potential crime scene but confirmed that no one was struck by the gunfire.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
