Early Saturday morning, Newark police were called to the scene of a shooting on a busy street in the Central Ward.
The incident occurred just before 2:30 AM near 623 Springfield Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers discovered multiple shell casings, indicating shots had been fired.
Authorities conducted a thorough search of the area but found no victims, suggesting there were no injuries as a result of the gunfire.
No arrests have been made in connection with the shooting.
The Newark Police Department is actively investigating the matter, seeking witnesses and any potential surveillance footage that might shed light on the incident.
Police are urging anyone with information to come forward to help resolve this case.
