An early morning car crash that occurred on a Newark highway sent one victim to the hospital suffering injuries.
It happened at approximately 1 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Route 1&9 -near the airport- where police were called to the scene to investigate a car crash.
Upon their arrival, officers found a badly damaged car with an unconscious female inside according to reports.
EMS transported the woman to University Hospital where doctors treated her for serious injuries.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
