Police Investigate Double Homicide in Gloucester County

Police in Paulsboro are investigating a double homicide that occurred in the township on Saturday afternoon.

According to police, on May 8 at approximately 4:21 p.m., officers from the Paulsboro Police Department responded to the area of West Adams and Delaware Streets for the report of multiple persons who had sustained gunshot wounds.  

Police said that upon arrival, Paulsboro officers located two deceased males.  The deceased have been identified as Aaron L. Owens, 28, and Cory R. Bunch, 25, both of Camden City.  A third male was located in a vehicle a short distance away, suffering from gunshot wounds. 

Officials said that subject was transported to Cooper Hospital in Camden, where he remains hospitalized in critical condition.   

According to officials, autopsies of Owens and Bunch conducted on May 9, by Gloucester County Medical Examiner Dr. Gerald Feigin ruled the cause of death for Owens and Bunch as gunshot wounds and the manner of death as homicide.  

This investigation remains active and Detectives believe there are additional witnesses who can provide crucial information to aid and further this investigation.
