Police Investigate Armed Robbery at East Brunswick Walgreens

East Brunswick authorities are on the search for two suspects wanted for an overnight robbery of a Walgreens Pharmacy in the city.

According to police, the incident happened before 2 a.m. in the 400 block of Ryders Lanes where 911 calls alerted police to an armed robbery in progress inside the store.

Officers arrived at the scene and were told by store employees that shortly before police arrived, two males entered the establishment armed with guns and took Oxycodone and other medication.

According to authorities, one of the suspects was described as a light skin Hispanic male who wore a black hat with red lettering and a hoodie that had an "H" on the left chest and white lettering shoulder to shoulder.

The other suspect is a black male who wore dark colored jeans, a black hoodie, and black hat with a full beard.

Authorities said that one of the men brandished a weapon during the robbery. The men fled the scene in a silver vehicle.

There were no injuries reported.
