Police in Jersey City took a man into custody Sunday evening after receiving multiple 911 calls about a naked individual inside a local park, officials said.
According to preliminary information, the incident occurred around 6:40 p.m. at Muhammad Ali Park, near the Van Nostrand Avenue side of the property.
Concerned residents contacted authorities after spotting the unclothed man wandering in the area.
Officers arrived and safely detained the emotionally disturbed individual without further incident. EMS was called to the scene to provide medical assistance.
No additional details were immediately available as the investigation continues.
