Police Charge Man for Illegally Dumping in Newark

Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose reports the arrest Samuel Rosado, 43, of Newark, for an incident of illegal dumping last night.

Police say at approximately 10:35 p.m., members of the Illegal Dumping Task Force observed a man throwing debris from a 2002 Mitsubishi Galant in the area of Riverside Avenue and Chester Avenue East.

According to authorities, the discarded debris included a garbage bag full of clothing.

The suspect, Samuel Rosado, was immediately arrested on charges of Illegal Dumping and the Illegal Transport of Solid Waste. The vehicle used to transport the dumped materials was towed and is subject to seizure by forfeiture.

These charges are merely accusations.

The suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
