Authorities are investigating a two-car collision that involved a police vehicle in Summit in Summit early Tuesday Morning.
According to preliminary reports, the head-on crash happened shortly before 12:25 a.m. in the 90's block of Glenside Avenue.
Police say the driver of the vehicle fled the scene after hitting the police car, causing injuries to at least one officer.
Units received assistance from aviation units in a search for the suspects through neighborhood yards.
It is not clear if the suspect was apprehended and the condition of the officer has not been confirmed. We will post additional information as soon as Summit offcials release an official report.
