Police Arrest Three People Following Drug, Cash Seizure in Secaucus

Police seized five pounds of marijuana and approximately $30,000 in cash after a report of a suspicious vehicle parked at a local hotel.

According to police, just after 8:30 Saturday morning, officers responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle parked in the fire zone of the Holiday Inn located on Plaza Drive.

Upon arrival, police spotted the parked white Mercedes Benz from Washington, D.C. The officers ensued a search of the vehicle after the odor of raw marijuana emanated from inside the car.

During the search, police seized five pounds of marijuana, hashish oil, gummy marijuana bears, and promethazine with codeine. In addition, police seized approximately $33,000 in cash.

According to authorities, Robert Stafford, 39, and Marcia Turk, 31, both of Washington DC, and Arquimedes Robles, 30, of Landover, Maryland, were all arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, possession of CDS, possession with the intent to distribute drug paraphernalia, money laundering, conspiracy to distribute marijuana and conspiracy to commit money laundering.

The trio was remanded to Hudson County Jail in Kearny.
