Police Arrest Three Paterson Armed Robbery Suspects

The Paterson Police Major Crimes Division has been investigating a sustained pattern of armed robberies during the month of November.

As a result of their efforts, three individuals were located and arrested at various locations throughout the city, a weapon was also recovered.

According to police, the following individuals have been arrested and charged in connection with armed robberies that occurred on Main Street, Mary Street, 136 16th Avenue, and 204 21st:

Mariano Maldonado, 34, Paterson

Victor Torres, 48, Paterson

Luis Pizarro, 39, Paterson, NJ

The three men have been charged with three counts of armed robbery, possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

Although arrests have been made, additional victims are being called in by detectives to view photo arrays and to attempt to positively identify the suspects in custody resulting in additional counts of robbery.

Officials also announced that during the arrest of one of the suspects, two male wedding bands were recovered and the search for the possible owners is ongoing.

Although arrests have been made, this investigation it’s currently active.
