A robbery that turned into an assault that happened in the city's East Ward had police apprehending several suspects after a brief foot pursuit.
The incident happened at around 1 a.m. on Adam Street and Oliver where the victim was reportedly robbed then assaulted by several suspects.
Police on routine patrol of the area responded to the scene where they spotted the suspects after a description was received.
Units chased the suspects through Independence Park where they apprehended about four suspects.
The victim was transported to St. Michael's Hospital reportedly with minor injuries.
