Authorities in Evesham Township say a Delaware woman has been arrested in connection with a robbery that left a Sunglass Hut employee injured after being sprayed with bear spray.
According to Evesham Township Police, officers responded to the store on Route 73 around 12:45 p.m. on September 29, 2025, after two women in hats and face coverings stole nearly $10,000 worth of luxury sunglasses.
When a young employee attempted to call for help, one suspect attacked her with bear spray before both fled.
Investigators later identified one suspect as 29-year-old Allesha Taylor-Jones of Delaware.
Working with Delaware State Police, detectives located and arrested her.
Police say she was found with evidence connecting her to the crime and is currently being held in Delaware awaiting extradition to New Jersey.
Taylor-Jones faces charges including first-degree robbery, aggravated assault, theft, and multiple weapons offenses.
The search for the second suspect remains ongoing.
