Police Arrest Man Wanted in Two Separate Camden County Bank Robberies

Authorities announced that David Walker, 40, of Oaklyn, has been arrested and charged in connection with two separate robberies in Camden County.

Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo and respective Police Chiefs announced that after an investigation by the Camden County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit, Haddon Township Police Department, Haddon Heights Police Department, aided by tips from the community, David Walker was charged with two counts of robbery on May 22nd.

Police said David Walker allegedly entered a TD Bank located 500 White Horse Pike in Haddon Heights at approximately 5:56 p.m. on May 18th, passed a demand note to the teller, and fled the scene. Just three days later, he entered a Wells Fargo Bank on West Cuthbert Boulevard in Haddon Township shortly before 5 p.m., passed a note to a teller, and then fled the scene.

Authorities said after both robberies he left with an undisclosed amount of money.

No one was injured in either incident.

United States Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force today arrested Walker at approximately 2 p.m. on the 4300 block of Aramingo Avenue in Philadelphia without incident. He was transported to the Philadelphia Police department and is awaiting extradition to the Camden County Correctional Facility pending a pretrial detention hearing. Under Criminal Justice Reform rules, the court may order he be detained or released with conditions.

All persons charged with criminal offenses are presumed innocent until found guilty in a court of law.
