Police Arrest Man Accused of Distributing Controlled Dangerous Substances in Fairview

Bergen County Prosecutor Gurbir S. Grewal announced the arrest of Marc Rodriguez, 38, of Fairview, on narcotics related charges and endangering the welfare of a child.

The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office received information that Rodriguez was distributing controlled dangerous substances in Fairview. On August 18th, police personnel executed a court-authorized search warrant at 219 3rd Street, Apt. #1, Fairview, where Rodriguez was found in possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, Xanax pills, and various drug paraphernalia.

He was arrested without incident and charged with one count of endangering the welfare of a child, one count of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, namely Methamphetamine, one count of possession of various drug paraphernalia, one count of possession of a prescription legend drug, namely Xanax pills, and one count of possession of a controlled dangerous substance, namely Marijuana, in an amount less than fifty grams.

Rodriguez was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in the Bergen County Central Judicial Processing Court.

Prosecutor Grewal states that these charges are merely accusations and that the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
