Pleasantville Man Indicted for Sexual Assault of a Child

Pleasantville

An Atlantic County Grand Jury handed up an indictment Wednesday against a Pleasantville man for the sexual assault of a child, Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner announced.

According to authorities, Pablo Cortez Trujillo, 25, was indicted on charges of second degree sexual assault of a victim, 13 to 15 years of age  and endangering the welfare of a child by engaging in sexual conduct.

Officials say Trujillo was having a sexual relationship with a 15 year-old girl over a period of a few months after meeting through Facebook.

The investigation and Trujillo’s arrest was handled by the Pleasantville Police Department and the state is represented by Acting Chief Assistant Prosecutor Danielle S. Buckley.

These charges are merely an accusation and not proof of guilt. In all criminal cases, a charged defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
