Newark and much of the North Jersey region are waking up to a mild and cloudy start to the second half of the weekend, with pleasant conditions expected to continue throughout the day.As of 4:30 a.m., temperatures in downtown Newark were at a comfortable 75 degrees, accompanied by cool morning breezes, ideal for those heading out to early Sunday services or enjoying a quiet start to the day.
According to the National Weather Service, skies will become mostly sunny by the afternoon, with a high near 91 degrees. While it will be warm, forecasters say it won't feel overly steamy, and the day is expected to remain dry.
Light west winds between 3 to 7 mph will add to the comfortable conditions.
Tonight, the weather will stay mostly clear, with a low around 72 degrees.
As the weekend winds down, residents can enjoy one more day of favorable summer weather before the new week begins.
