Plainfield Police are looking into the motive behind a stabbing that injured a person in a section of the city Saturday night.
According to preliminary reports, police responded to the area of 230 East 3rd Street to investigate reports of an injured person.
Upon arrival, units found an unidentified person suffering a stab wound at that location.
Police say the victim was transported to the hospital in serious condition.
There were no other injuries immediately reported.
